Why do I scramble in this strange darkness
         if it is not to find light
Why do I venture on this doomed path
         if it is not to continue to fight
Why do I search for enlightenment
         if it is not to discover that which is right
Why do I feel so terribly empty
         if it is not because of this blight
Why do I put myself through torture
         if it is not loves ability to smite
